It seems like the perfect match: John Cena, Kat Dennings, and the producers behind Robot Chicken. Throw these elements into a centrifuge with some cartoon images, and out pops the space-set buddy-comedy Dallas & Robo.

According to WWE.com, "Dallas & Robo centers around sassy space-trucker 'Dallas' (Dennings) and self-proclaimed warrior-poet 'Robo' (Cena) who must navigate their way around cannibal bikers, rival space truckers, and vending machine burritos as they try to make a buck in the seedy world of interplanetary big-rigging."

If nothing else, at least it sounds original, right?

Set to be eight episodes long, and playing exclusively on YouTube Red in 2018, the series was created by Mike Rogers (Final Space) and will be produced by Shadowmachine -- the folks who previously produced Robot Chicken and currently produce BoJack Horseman. Dennings gave voice to many characters on that series, and, of course, we know her as Darcy Lewis from Thor. John Cena is best known as a WWE wrestler and action star, who also showed off some pretty decent comedy chops in Amy Schumer's Trainwreck. Others in the talented voice cast include Jane Lynch (Glee), Taran Killam (SNL), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Once Upon a Time), and Clancy Brown (Spongebob Squarepants, Carnivale).

“I'm thrilled to join Kat and the rest of this fantastic voice cast for Dallas & Robo," said Cena. “The writing for this series is flat-out funny and very creative, and I’m really looking forward to being a part of such a unique, entertaining project.”

So, who else is looking forward to this one?
