Last week on Fear the Walking Dead, we learned that John's (Garret Dillahunt) beloved Laura (Jenna Elfman) was actually the nervous nurse Naomi who had been picked up by the stadium crew. We also found out that, according to Luciana, Naomi is dead — or rather, Luciana believes she is dead. We sense something catastrophic happened at the stadium, and while a lot of people died, we're sure a lot more were left under the impression that they were dead. However, due to the non-linear structure of the season, we won't know that until, likely, the end of the season.
In this Sunday's new episode of Fear the Walking Dead, we get John and "Laura's" backstory: how they met, and the trauma that clouds their behavior. In this exclusive clip from the episode, John catches "Laura" trying to sneak out of his house after he found her injured outside his home. Even though the pair just met, and John has been nothing but kind to the traumatized woman, she still wants to leave. While John doesn't want her to go, he isn't going to force her to stay.
He may want her to get her all tidied up before she leaves, though.
Will John's kindness and "no pressure" attitude convince her to stay? Fear the Walking Dead's "Laura" airs this Sunday, May 13, at 9 p.m. on AMC.
