Director J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom made its public premiere in Madrid, Spain, last night, and the reactions to the upcoming blockbuster were almost entirely increíble

The Barcelona-born Bayona took the sequel to 2015’s box-office shattering dino reboot to his home country for its world premiere, and fans were very receptive (though it helps to speak Spanish to know exactly how receptive).

However, even the monolingual star Chris Pratt knew the reactions were positive:

Some fans covered the ovation given at the film’s credits:

While others explained how the film passed even their high expectations to find its place in the franchise:

Some expected more from Bayona:

While others didn’t even need the dialogue to praise his directorial work:

Premieres are always giddy affairs, so it makes sense to take these reactions with a grain of salt, but for first impressions, it’s a good sign that those coming in wanting the film to justify its place in the Jurassic canon were satisfied.

Fallen Kingdom comes stateside on June 22.
