Kate Beckinsale has returned to her vampy roots. The actress reprises her role as Selene in the sequel Underworld Awakening, and judging from this explosive clip, she's still deadly as ever.
IGN got its hands on a one-minute clip from the new Underworld , which features Selene back in action. In the sequel, the vampire returns after spending 12 years in a cryogenic sleep.
After she awakens and escapes her captors, she realizes she's a fish out of water. The world has changed, the stakes are higher, and the enemy is different. The humans are well aware of vampires and Lycans and have waged a war against them.
In the following clip, Selene gets bomb-happy after sneaking into a highly secured building. Her only backup is a human named Detective Sebastian, played by Michael Ealy. As he waits for her cue, Selene slips into an elevator shaft, plants some bombs and detonates them without batting an eye. It's good to know that after all these years she's still got it!
Underworld Awakening opens Jan. 20 and will be available in 2D, 3D and IMAX.
