Having made a huge splash earlier this year in FX’s Legion and Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, Dan Stevens will next be starring in a little sci-fi movie from Saban Films and Lionsgate titled Kill Switch.
Based on director Tim Smit’s short film “What’s in the Box,” Kill Switch sees the former Downton Abbey alum star as a physicist named Will Porter, who is fighting to save both his family and the Earth. That’s a tall order right there! Ahead of the movie’s release, a new clip and several images have been released; including a new poster.
Opening in select theaters and On Demand in two short days (June 16), Kill Switch will feature parallel universes and also star Charity Wakefield (Doctor Who “The Return of Doctor Mysterio”) and Bérénice Marlohe (Skyfall). Here's the intriguing synopsis and the tense one-minute clip titled "The Countdown." Also, don't forget the gallery of pics below!
Set in a future version of the world, the video game style plot follows an experiment for unlimited energy, harnessing parallel universes, which goes wrong. Chased by drones and soldiers, pilot and physicist Will Porter must race through an imploding world to get the Redivider box to a tower, which will save humanity, including his family, in the real world.
