Reactions to the first screenings for Kong: Skull Island have hit, and it seems the period-set monster flick will have a post-credit scene — and it's apparently "awesome."
An early report from Kelvin Chavez, formerly of Latino Review, confirmed the post-credits scene and promised it will not disappoint fans. Kong: Skull Island is set in the Vietnam era and follows a team of explorers and soldiers visiting an uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. The island is apparently the domain of monsters (plural!), most notably Kong.
Sadly, no word on what the scene is, but we can throw out a few theories. We already know Legendary is setting up a crossover film universe with Godzilla and Kong, so it stands to reason that the scene could be setting the stage for that face-off. Or it could be introducing a different monster (maybe Mothra swoops in and picks up Kong?), or something else entirely. Heck, it could even be setting up a direct sequel to Skull Island, if Legendary wants to play in that world a bit longer before connecting the franchises.
Kong: Skull Island opens March 10. What do you think the post-credit scene will be?
