Marvel’s The Defenders is set to assemble Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist for the first time ever later this year with the heroes of Hell’s Kitchen set to take on Sigourney Weaver’s villain.

Not only will the highly anticipated Netflix series mark the first time our Marvel street-level heroes will team up, but The Defenders will also see most of the characters interacting together for the first time (except for Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones and Mike Colter's Luke Cage, who first met in an episode of Jessica Jones).

One such meeting will be between Jessica and Daredevil, and their dynamic is bound to be really interesting, to say the least. In a recent article with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Marco Ramirez reiterated that out of the four of them, Jessica Jones is "gloriously the most reluctant hero in the world." Adding, "She’s going to have to let three men into her life who she doesn't one hundred percent trust." Right off the bat, that's bound to create friction between the team members.

Krysten Ritter then talked about the relationship between Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear and the hot-tempered Alias Investigations P. I., describing the duo’s relationship as a "cat-and-mouse" dynamic. When EW asked who was the cat and who was the mouse, she said, "It switches back and forth, to be honest. No one's best friends in all of the Defenders. This is a reluctant team-up."
