As the much-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 inches closer and closer to its May release, more and more details about the film's new locations and charaters are trickling out. The trailers have already offered new looks at the familiar Guardians crew, including Michel Rooker's Yondu and his awesome new head crest, as well as some new creatures and even a couple of new characters like Mantis (Pom Klementieff).
Despite all we've seen, though, there's still plenty to look out for, including the appearance of Kurt Russell as Ego the Living Planet, Star-Lord's cosmic father who finally pops back into his life after decades apart. We kow that Ego will take a humanoid form instead of adopting a planet-sized guise, and we already got a peek at his costume at last summer's San Diego Comic-Con.
Now, we finally get to see Ego himself ... though for the moment he's just a toy. Today, Funko revealed its POP! and Dorbz versons of Ego in his Vol. 2 costume, and writer/director James Gunn declared the rendering "close" to the actual character. Check it out.

We don't know how long we'll have to wait to actually see Russell and his sweet beard as Ego, so for now this'll have to do.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. arrives May 5.
