With less than a month to wait until the highly anticipated premiere of the second season of Legion, FX has finally dropped the first full trailer for showrunner Noah Hawley’s trippy X-Men spinoff series. And it looks like Season 2 will be just as weird and wonderful as the first one.

Legion stars Dan Stevens as David Haller, who happens to be Charles Xavier’s son and one of the most powerful mutants ever. David spent years in a mental institution after being diagnosed as schizophrenic.

David was put through the wringer over the course of the first season, and the final minutes of Season 1 saw him being trapped inside a metallic sphere after finally being freed of Amahl Farouk, aka the Shadow King, to be played by Navid Negahban in Season 2. This one had burrowed himself into David’s mind from the time David was a baby, where the X-Men villain acted as a psychic parasite.

The full trailer reveals David somehow escapes the contraption (this will be a mystery that will no doubt be resolved over the course of the season) and only remembers scattered fragments such as trees and… dancing. Yep, just as Season 1 featured a weirdly glorious Bollywood number, the second season will feature another awesome dance routine featuring David, Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), and Oliver Bird (Jemaine Clement), who became Farouk/Lenny's new host in the finale.

When the show (and David) returns, the Summerland group will have joined forces with Division 3 against their real enemy: the Shadow King, who’s now infecting people. There may also be some troubles ahead for lovebirds David and Syd (Rachel Keller), because apparently she lives in a future David’s going to destroy. Not sure what that means, but that’s pretty much Legion for ya. Also, check out these two promos that were recently unveiled by the network.

Legion returns for a 10-episode second season on April 3 on FX. Are you looking forward to Season 2?
