Lionsgate has released a new action-packed international trailer for their upcoming horror comedy movie Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, along with a cool one-sheet poster featuring some of the main cast.
Helmed by Burr Steers, who also adapted the screenplay from Seth Grahame-Smith’s hit 2009 novel, which in turn reimagines Jane Austen’s 19th-century classic novel Pride and Prejudice, P&P&Z stars Lily James (Downton Abbey, Cinderella, War and Peace) as zombie-killing heroine Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bennet and Colin Firth Sam Riley (Maleficent) as Mr. Darcy — who is somewhat the focus of the second half of the new explosive trailer.
The movie also boasts a cast that includes Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Mr. Collins; Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Elizabeth’s father, Mr. Bennet; Lena Heady (Game of Thrones) as a kickass Lady Catherine de Bourgh (Darcy’s aunt); Douglas Booth (Jupiter Ascending) as Mr. Bingley and Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) in the role of Mr. Wickham.
Along for the ride as Lizzy Bennet's sisters are Ellie Bamber (The Musketeers) as Lydia, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows) as Jane, Millie Brady (Mr. Selfridge) as Mary and Sukie Waterhouse (Insurgent) as Kitty.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a fresh twist on Jane Austen’s widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will open in movie theaters on Feb. 5, 2016.
