Listen to the Godzilla score and (gasp!) get spoiled by the track listing

Just as eyes are the gateway to the soul, likewise a musical score is often the gateway to the soul of a film.

We've been salivating here over every teaser, commercial and trailer for the upcoming Godzilla movie. And it's easy to see why -- it just looks stunning. But there's more to a movie than how visually arresting it is. And often the thing that sticks with us the most is the music. Back to the Future, E.T., Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, and countless other genre films simply wouldn't be the successes they were without an engaging and memorable score.

Alexandre Desplat is responsible for Godzilla's score, and luckily for us, the music in its entirety is available to stream online right now.

It's definitely solid, and builds exactly the kind of tension you want from a giant-monster movie. Of course, what makes this so newsworthy isn't just the music itself, but the titles of each track, some of which will really spoil you. Read on if you dare!
