If you've seen the various promo material previously released for director James Mangold's Logan -- or if you managed to catch the movie over the weekend -- then you know the film went full meta on us when the adamantium-clawed mutant got his hands on one of X-23's cherished possessions: an X-Men comic.
Comic book artist Dan Panosian (who really did work on several X-Men and Wolverine comics) was tapped to provide the art for the fictional Uncanny X-Men issue for Hugh Jackman's last hurrah as Wolverine. Panosian took to Twitter over the weekend to release a couple of pages that ultimately didn't make the final cut in the movie.
In the pages below, Kitty Pryde is worried sick about her parents' visit to Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in Upstate New Work and begs the X-Men not to use their powers around her folks -- even if they already know they're all mutants. Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Rogue all agree, but Logan isn't keen about her request and gets all broody and stuff.
