Love is worth fighting 'Thor' in Avengers: Infinity War rom-com trailer

With Avengers: Infinity War arriving in theaters this week, we need something to take our minds off the probability that several characters will die at the hands of the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his Black Order. Luckily, the folks at Jimmy Kimmel Live! delivered a bit of levity with the film's trailer re-cut as a romantic comedy.

They obviously had to highlight the Scarlet Witch/Vision hook-up because it's so steeped in Marvel comic book lore, but there's also Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) as well as Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Get ready for a lot of fan fics over the last one.

"Whether it grabs you by the hand" — Thanos and Captain America (Chris Evans) arm wrestle— "or by the head" — Thanos begins crushing Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) head — "love is worth fighting Thor," says the classic romantic comedy narrator. What's the name of this light-hearted picture, you ask? It's LoveInfinity, a play on the title of Richard Curtis's Love, Actually

All week, Kimmel is celebrating the release of Infinity War by having different members of the cast visit the show. Last night, Ruffalo, Dave Bautista (Drax), Johansson, Danai Gurira (Okoye), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) stopped by the studio to play a rousing game of Guess the Avenger!

The movie arrives in theaters everywhere Friday or, if you're a more dedicated theater-goer, Thursday night. What Avenger relationship are you looking forward to seeing the most?
