Before making Netflix’s hit horror series Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers cut their teeth working on M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines TV series at Fox. Now the Sixth Sense director wants them to return the favor.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Shyamalan said he was recently chatting with the Duffer Brothers and let them know he’d love to be involved in Season 2 of the streaming hit. All these guys seem to be pals, and bringing in Shyamalan to direct an episode or two could certainly bring a bit more extra buzz to the project. Though he's best known for his twists (maybe all the boys are dead?!), Shyamalan is still an excellent director in his own right.

Check out an excerpt from his comments below:

"My boys who do Stranger Things, they did Wayward Pines for me. They were 'round my house and I was like, 'Well, you can hire me back, guys!' … Supernatural thrillers, that's what I'm known for. [But] I'm a closet drama director. I don't like anybody to know! When people come to the multiplex and they're screaming and laughing ... that's not why I made the movie. I made the movie for the drama."

The second season of Stranger Things is tentatively set to hit Netflix later this year and promises to be bigger, darker and more terrifying. Should be right up M. Night's alley, right?
