It might have been touch and go in the 11th hour, but Marc Webb is officially sticking it out with Amazing Spider-Man 2—and we have the first two shots from production to prove it.
Webb has taken to Twitter to keep fans updated on the eagerly anticipated sequel, and is teasing us with some pictures from behind the scenes. Work officially started yesterday, and Webb is on pace to share a pic a day. So what do we see?
The first shot reveals that the film is apparently being shot on film as opposed to completely digital cameras. Honestly, it's not much of a shocker, considering that Webb is a major proponent of practical effects. It gives the shot a warmer look and should be a nice complement to Webb’s style.
The second pic is a lot more fun, showing off some type of gadget emblazoned with a snazzy Oscorp logo. As if we didn’t already know, it seems Oscorp will feature heavily in the sequel, much as it did in the first installment. It may not be much, but it's nice to know some tangible progress is being made to hit that proposed May 2, 2014, release date.
Check out the pics below and give us your best guess at the use for that Oscorp gadget:
