As the new Star Warsdedication reads, Carrie Fisher will always be a princess to her fans. On the first anniversary of her death, the tributes are pouring out for the late actress with as much fervor as they did last year.

One of the most touching, heartbreaking posts has come from her longtime co-star, on-screen brother, and friend Mark Hamill. His Instagram post, which contains a collage of images -- one from their first-trilogy youth, one from The Last Jedi, and one an artistic tribute to the profane dog-toting side of her personality -- dedicated to the actress and script doctor who delighted a nation.

Fisher leaves behind a legacy as a beloved actress, brilliant writer, and fierce activist — and Hamill managed to showcase pretty much all that. As fans say their own goodbyes via Fisher's final performance in The Last Jedi, it's a touching reminder of the life she lived.

Included in the post is a line of dialogue from a scene shared by Hamill and Fisher in The Last Jedi that Fisher reportedly helped write. “No one’s ever really gone,” Luke Skywalker tells his sister. A fitting on-screen goodbye to an actress who forever altered sci-fi.
