Thor: Ragnarok will introduce an epic bromance between Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, but it looks like fans can look forward to an even more unlikely pairing when Marvel brings together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Speaking to USA Today, Ruffalo first touched upon the new friendship between the Ragnarok Bros, saying “there’s an oddball quality to it — Hulk’s largeness and simplicity of thinking and Thor’s otherworldly, god-like naivete. And Banner and Thor together: The least superhero of them all with the most superhero of them all. It’s so silly and goofy and fantastic, of course you’re going to have hijinks.”
Sounds about right from what we’ve seen from the movie so far (trailers, promos, clips, etc.). And this is where it gets interesting because Ruffalo revealed that the Green Goliath and none other than Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper and mo-capped by Sean Gunn) will strike what could be the beginning of a beautiful, hilarious friendship when the two superhero teams assemble to take on the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War and its follow-up, Avengers 4.
“All of the universes coming together is just a sight gag within itself,” Ruffalo teased about the friendship between Hulk and Rocket. “It’s a very funny relationship that the two of them have: First of all, it’s the biggest superhero and the smallest. Just keeping them in a frame together is a feat and hilarious in itself.”
What do you guys think about this future Hulk and Rocket bromance? Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4, 2018.
