There's been lots of talk about how the Hulk will fit into the future of Marvel films, but what does the actor playing him think?
Mark Ruffalo must be feeling pretty good right now. After two previous failed attempts, it was his take on Dr. Bruce Banner that finally took hold. And his triumph is much deserved. Ruffalo put in such an outstanding performance in Marvel's Avengers that many fans felt he stole the show. But will that translate into a stand-alone Hulk movie? Ruffalo tweeted the answer.
A lot of folks have been asking about the Next Hulk. The next time you see my Hulk it will be in the Avengers2. No plans for stand alone.— Mark Ruffalo (@Mruff221) March 7, 2013
That sounds pretty final, at least for now. But that doesn't mean Ruffalo doesn't want more Hulk or that it won't ever happen. Quite the contrary, in fact.
I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK. But it’s not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring.— Mark Ruffalo (@Mruff221) March 7, 2013
The only sneaky thing we caught in these tweets is that Ruffalo said the next time you see "my Hulk" will be Avengers 2. Now maybe that means nothing, but the limited number of characters one can use in a tweet has us wondering if he didn't choose his words very carefully. Banner certainly isn't the only Hulk in existence. Could we see a Red Hulk, perhaps? She Hulk? We'd be game for either.
Just no Red She Hulk, please.
