Marvel’s upcoming Legacy event is set to shake up the entire universe by going back to the beginning — namely bringing back old heroes, old villains, and throwing them into a melting pot with the modern Marvel Universe.

Marvel spent most of the day rolling out covers and series for the comic runs that will be affected (here's our exclusive gallery of a few of those), and as the list settles down, the event looks virtually line-wide. Seriously, this thing is pretty big and promises a boatload of new twists.

As for actual news, there were a few big reveals sprinkled throughout the day. Marvel will be doing a Spirits of Vengeance series teaming up Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze), Blade, Daimon Hellstrom and Satanna, which sound positively mind-blowing. No word on the creative team for that one just yet, though. There’s also a new series getting two of the Fantastic Four back together, via Marvel Two-In-One: The Thing and the Human Torch. Could this be the beginning of a Fantastic Four revival?

Moving to more existing series, there's a cover that reveals the Purple Man will be rearing his head in Jessica Jones’ solo comic, and the Punisher is rocking some War Machine armor on his cover. There are also hints that Shatterstar will be back in Cable, Loki is coming to Doctor Strange, the High Evolutionary returns in Champions, and a new Incredible Hulk series (with Bruce Banner?!) looks to bring World War Hulk back.
