Included with the Digital HD release of Doctor Strange last week, the Marvel Phase Three sneak peek has finally arrived.
The seven-minute video puts the spotlight on Doctor Strange as well as Marvel's upcoming slate of films included in Phase Three: director James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5), Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok (Nov. 3), Black Panther (Feb. 16, 2018), directed by Ryan Coogler, and the Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Infinity War (May 4, 2018).
Keen-eyed readers will notice one notable absentee from that list: Spider-Man: Homecoming (out July 7). Why that film wasn't included in the sneak peek truly boggles the mind, but it may have something to do with the fact that it's a co-production with Sony.
The video features (amongst other things) a behind-the-scenes look at Guardians Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, another cool peek at the pieces of Black Panther concept art leaked last week, video interviews with the Marvel powers-that-be (including head honcho Kevin Feige) as well as a look back at the early beginnings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, set to culminate in an epic face-off between our beloved heroes and the greatest threat the universe has ever faced: Thanos (played by Brand from The Goonies).
