Marvel bringing Human Torch back from the dead ... we think

The Fantastic Four has been around for 50 years. In that time, other than a few temporary lineup changes, the core four have always remained intact—until the recent death of Johnny Storm (the Human Torch, that is). Is it possible that, in less than a year, he's back?

Marvel has been teasing a major issue of FF recently, which has been confirmed as Fantastic Four #600. Today we got to see one of the covers—which includes the Human Torch and Spider-Man. It's been pointed out that this particular image first appeared at last May's Dallas Comic Con as an exclusive. Does that mean that the image doesn't relate to the story within? Or has Johnny's return been planned out all along?

We're a little confused, considering that this particular death, much like Peter Parker's in Ultimate Spider-Man, was billed as being something that wouldn't be taken back. It's not that resurrecting comic book characters is surprising, or that it's even the first time it's technically happened with members of the Fantastic Four ... we just thought it would take a little longer.

Still, we might be looking at a retrospective and not a present-day return of the character. Or could there be a new Human Torch?

What do you think? And how do you feel about it?
