Have you ever wondered what would happen if the mad scientists at Marvel ever combined the DNA of Wolverine and the Hulk? Wonder no longer, because we're about to find out.

It seems that the Weapon X program really does not know when to leave well enough alone, as their newly created Wolverine/Hulk hybrid beast is about to go on the rampage in his own solo comic. As announced today by Marvel, Weapon H is "ready to take on the world-- and he means business." The already highly unstable power of the Hulk, mixed with Wolverine's adamantium-fused invulnerability? The possibilities are endless, and the destruction...will most likely also be endless.

Coming after the character's debut in Totally Awesome Hulk and the "Weapon of Mutant Destruction" crossover event, Weapon H will come to us from the combined talents of Greg Pak (Planet Hulk) and artist Cory Smith (X-Men: Blue). Series editor Darren Shan made this statement:

“Greg Pak wrote one of the biggest and most action packed Hulk stories ever in Planet Hulk…so it only made sense that he brought those same sensibilities to Weapon H. We’re going to pit him against the biggest threats of the Marvel Universe that you can imagine, starting with a new kind of Wendigo! And then Cory Smith is going to multiply that times ten and smash the hell out of it with his incredible art! Whether you read his first appearance in Weapon X: The Hunt for Weapon H or not, you’re going to find that we only scratched the surface of this bombastic new character!”

The Hulk is very fresh in the minds of the public at large, as he was a huge part of the recent box office smash Thor: Ragnarok. Whether audiences knew it or not, they also got a hefty smattering of the Planet Hulk story in that film. Wolverine also made an impact earlier this year, with the more somber (yet still ferocious) Logan, which saw Wolverine claw and slice his way through pretty much anything and everyone. The timing for this hybrid character to emerge into his own enormous spotlight is perfect, but if you're still not sold, check out the full cover by Leinil Yu:

Yeah, we're not gonna bet against him. Weapon H #1 will hit the stands this March.
