Holy heck, is Jason Bourne back in a big way! Universal Pictures has released the first three action-packed clips from its upcoming new Bourne movie.
Matt Damon returns for the fourth time as Jason Bourne to kick some grade-A backsides in the fifth entry in the movie franchise (the last one starred Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross in 2012’s Bourne-less The Bourne Legacy). Directed by The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum helmer Paul Greengrass, the movie also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Julia Styles, Riz Ahmed and French actor Vincent Cassell as the film’s villain.
The first clip shows off a bit more of that Las Vegas strip chase (which is apparently the movie’s most elaborate and costly sequence, with good reason), while clip number two has Bourne driving a motorcycle and saving newfound ally Nicky Parson (Styles). The third clip has CIA agent Heather Lee (Vikander) call Bourne and introducing herself to him. Gotta say, very excited by the first two clips and can't wait to see those scenes play out on the big screen. We're in for a ride! Pun totally intended.
Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.
Jason Bourne returns to the big screen on July 29.
