The streaming service Netflix is getting into the horror business, and a new trailer for Eli Roth’s creepy series Hemlock Grove shows they don’t plan to pull any punches with their first stab at the supernatural.
Looking like a cross between Twin Peaks and American Horror Story, the 13-episode series seems loaded with chills and intrigue. Plus, odds are Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) has brought his trademark brand of horror to the Brian McGreevy book adaptation.
Here’s the official synopsis:
The series revolves around the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell. Through the investigation, the town’s seamier side is exposed, revealing that nothing is what it seems.
The new trailer digs a little deeper into the world of Hemlock Grove, and peels back a few of the supernatural layers:
The entire 13-episode horror series debuts April 19 on Netflix.
