The MTV Movie and TV Awards were jam-packed with genre nominees this year. And luckily, plenty of them took home golden popcorn buckets. From Riverdale to IT to Black Panther, here's how your favorite genre fare... fared.

On the TV side, Stranger Things dominated, picking up four awards including Best Show, Best Musical Moment (for Eleven and Mike's adorable dance to "Every Breath You Take"), Most Frightened Performance for Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), and Best Performance in a Show for Millie Bobby Brown, who missed the awards because of an injury. The CW's Riverdale also scored an award, with Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom) rightfully winning the Scene Stealer prize.

Now let's get to the movies. Wonder Woman only grabbed one award, but it was Best Fight for that scene where she kicked the asses of all those German soldiers. So, still a pretty awesome win. The Losers' Club of IT surprisingly won the Best On-Screen Team, beating out the Hawkins crew from Stranger Things and even the Avengers.

But the real winner of the night was Black Panther with four awards, including Best Movie and Best Villain for Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger. Plus, Chadwick Boseman grabbed Best Hero and Best Performance in a Movie for his role as T'Challa.

Though he's only 38, Chris Pratt was awarded the MTV Generation Award for his numerous contributions to movies and television, including several huge genre franchises like Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. Check out his speech, which gives advice on everything from pooping to praying...

Unfortunately, not everyone can win. When it comes to losers, some big names were definitely missing. Game of Thrones, which is usually a huge winner at award shows and was nominated for three awards, including Best Show, took home zero popcorn buckets. Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Last Jedi both left empty-handed as well, after receiving three nominations apiece. But let's be honest, they'll probably be fine in the long run.
