As we know, MTV’s Scream's third season will be something completely different — a reboot with a new cast and even a new showrunner, Brett Matthews. Now that new cast includes Keke Palmer.
According to Variety, Palmer will play Kym, “a bold and beautiful social activist with a big heart and zero patience for suffering fools.”
Geeks will know Palmer for her role as Zayday Williams in Scream Queens, but non-geeky people will know Palmer for an IMDb page that’s even longer than my grocery list (and that's mighty impressive). In addition to acting, Palmer also works as a singer and songwriter.
Deadline suggests that Scream’s reboot would be a complete overhaul, with the first two seasons perhaps referenced but not seen. This way, the new showrunner can work with a clean slate. And some fresh new bodies for Ghostface to torment.
MTV’s Scream offers up horror mixed with teen angst and cutting humor. The third season will run six episodes. Expect to start screaming sometime in March 2018.
