What happens when you have The Hunger Game's sexy killing machine Jennifer Lawrence and About a Boy's geeky Nicholas Hoult together in a romantic scene from X-Men: First Class? What could be have been awkward turns out to be an awwww-inducing moment.
Right, a discussion about wanting to be normal, serum and blood samples shouldn't be all cute and sweet and romantic and sort of sexy, but that's the end result of this 50-second clip that expands on a very short snippet we've now seen countless times in countless different X-Men: First Class trailers.
Taking over for the sexy Rebecca Romijn (who played the blue-skinned shape-shifter mutant in the first three X-Men films) as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, Lawrence adds a bit of an Emma Peel vibe to the role, while Hoult, who's taking over the role of Hank McCoy/Beast from a blue-fur-covered Kelsey Grammer in X-Men: The Last Stand, looks much more like a shy, geeky, Peter Parker-ish high-school student.
Check it out.
What do you think of this clip? Does it give you good vibes for the movie? Do you think there are too many clips out there to care?
Director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class will hit theaters on June 3, 2011.
