When Netflix announced a Castlevania animated series was on the way, we got a synopsis, but no information on when the classic NES video-game-inspired show would debut on the streaming service.

Well, Castlevania fans, all that's changed as of today. Mark your calendars for July 7!

But Netflix didn't stop at a premiere date, they also debuted the teaser below, which gives us our first look at all the animated, Dracula-fighting fun. And they updated the official synopsis as well:

Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.

If there's one thing that's sure to please old-school Castlevania fans, it's the first part of this teaser, which includes a familiar puff/blow of an NES cartridge and an 8-bit Netflix series menu. And what follows should set any anime-loving gamer's heart aflame.
