The year 2049 seems like a long way off, but October 6, 201,7 is just around the bend, when fans of the sci-fi classic Blade Runner will, 35 years after Ridley Scott's original, finally get to see what happens next.
Earlier today, Good Morning America gave us a further glimpse into the future when they debuted the new trailer for Blade Runner 2049, as envisioned by director Denis Villeneuve (Arrival). As you can see below, there’s a bit more to chew on, particularly with regard to LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) and Rick Deckard’s (Harrison Ford) big meeting, which was initially previewed in the first trailer.
In that tense meeting, we learned that K really wants to ask Deckard “some questions.” Well, minor spoiler alert: We may have gotten at least one answer.
Villeneuve's film also stars Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. Check out the new trailer below, and let us know if October 6 can round that bend quickly enough.
