Corey Stoll -- who currently stars in Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain -- has spoken about his big bad villain costume in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man flick.
During this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con, Stoll was revealed to be playing Darren Cross, a colleague of Michael Douglas’ Henry Pym, who obtains the Pym particles and becomes the flick’s baddie Yellowjacket.
Speaking to MTV, Stoll spoke about his villainous turn in director Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and revealed what his Yellowjacket costume actually entailed.
“That's really...that's still an ongoing process,I think unfortunately...well, maybe fortunately, in terms of my comfort feeling. For [actual shooting], I think I'll be wearing a lot of mo-cap spandex.”
That’s rather ... interesting. Even more interesting is Ant-Man director Peyton Reed teasing that there would be more than just one villain in Ant-Man.
Among a few interesting tidbits, Reed told Collider:
“Well, we definitely have Yellowjacket in the movie. And in terms on how many villains do we have; I think it really depends on how you define villains.”
What do you guys think? Which current Ant-Man characters could possibly be termed as a villain (could it be Evangeline Lilly’s Hope VAN DYNE? Yep, she’s back to Van Dyne)? Or do you guys think there are more characters we haven’t heard about yet?
Marvel's Ant-Man will be released on July 15, 2015.
