Next year's Carrie remake will be gorier than ever. Some set photos from the Kimberly Peirce film have surfaced online, and they're filled with blood, blood and more blood.
One of the most defining moments in Carrie (both the novel and film) is when she's doused with pig's blood. It's an iconic scene that marks the final straw in her passive behavior. That's the moment she goes from mousy girl to murderous badass. The following images give us a good idea of how much damage she does.
There's a behind-the-scenes photo featuring fabric swatches stained with different types of blood. We're talking "aged blood," "lung blood," "fresh blood," even original recipe blood. Peirce has it down to a science. There's also what appears to be a bloody stuffed animal sitting on top of a soiled towel. And we can't ignore the multiple buckets filled with the thick red liquid.
