There's a cool new trailer—and poster—out for Laika studio's upcoming stop-motion animation film ParaNorman. And it looks as deliciously funny, cute and creepy as its predecessor, Coraline.
ParaNorman tells the story of a misunderstood young boy named Norman, voiced by Let Me In's Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Norman is able to speak with the dead à la Sixth Sense and The Frighteners, you see, so when the town gets besieged by some frightfully pesky zombies, ghosts and witches (on top of those stoopid grown-ups), the young boy has to step up to save his town from a centuries-old curse.
We have to admit that based on the new trailer, the movie looks freakin' amazing to us, and we can't wait to see it.
Also featuring the vocal talents of Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Tucker Albrizzi, Alex Borstein, Jodelle Ferland and Elaine Stritch, ParaNorman is set to hit theaters on Aug. 17, 2012.
What do you guys think? Will go see ParaNorman when it hits theaters?
