Some new set pics from the reshoots of World War Z have surfaced, offering a glimpse at the reworked third act that got the film delayed a while back. Judging by the bloody look of star Brad Pitt, it seems he's had about enough of the zombie apocalypse.
The original ending for the big-budget zombie flick apparently had such major issues that the studio decided to bring in everyone from Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) to Damon Lindelof (Prometheus) to try and clean it up—so director Marc Forster had Pitt and some other actors back on set for some reshoots in recent weeks.
It's hard to glean a whole lot from these shots, but judging by the somber tone of huddled survivors, it's likely related to that reworked finale. That probably explains why that recent trailer focused mostly on big-budget effects work as opposed to story.
Here's the synopsis:
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.Check out the pics in a gallery below.
