NSFW: Deadpool announces the release of his first trailer in the most Deadpool way possible

Teasers for trailers is a relatively new phenomenon, and it’s very annoying. But leave it to the Deadpool team to put a new spin on the tired trope. Hollywood, this is how you announce a trailer.

The eagerly anticipated trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool film is set to debut on Tuesday, with Reynolds himself introducing it during a Conan interview that night on TBS (in case you didn’t know where Conan O'Brien’s show currently airs). To help stoke the buzz, Deadpool himself has shown up to (kinda) smoke a pipe and let you know what’s happening.

The voiceover pokes fun at the generic blockbuster intro in the best ways possible, and even has a tongue-in-cheek jab at X-Men Origins: Wolverine. We're also curious how similar the first public trailer will be to the widely loved SDCC trailer. Who knows how the movie turns out, but the grassroots marketing has been A+ up to this point. The team behind Deadpool understands how dumb it is to do a trailer teaser, and they embrace the absurdity. That’s how you make it fun.

Check out the NSFW teaser below, and be sure to check back Tuesday for the full trailer:
