It's Alicia Silverstone's birthday, gang. And while yes, she was Cher in Clueless, she was also Batgirl. And that’s worth celebrating.

Silverstone was born in San Francisco, and her major break came at the age of 15 in 1993's The Crush. She was then in a bunch of Aerosmith videos, became a bona fide cultural icon in Clueless (1995) and starred in a TON of Broadway.

Today is also the birthday of Charlton Heston.

Born in 1923 in Evanston, Ill., Heston did some theatre and then served in World War II. His big break came in 1952's The Greatest Show on Earth, and from there we got a bunch of epics: The Ten Commandments (1956), Ben-Hur (1959), and eventually … Planet of the Apes (1968). He loved guns like crazy and died in 2008.

But wait, there's one more! Liev Schreiber was born on this day in 1967.

Born in San Francisco, Schreiber appeared in the Scream movies, The Omen remake, a pretty good Showtime series, and a lot of theatre. If you'd like, you can wish him well on Twitter.
