You know what we heard today? Oh, no big deal ... just Peter "Lord of the Rings" Jackson being down for directing an episode of Doctor Who!
Bless Matt Smith. There's a man who isn't afraid to say what he wants:
"Let's get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there."
YES! New Zealand would be an awesome place to film an episode of Doctor Who. And, oh yeah, Peter Jackson would be all right, too. Speaking of P-Jacks, how does he feel about all this?
"I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think Matt's fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I'll be there!"
So, schedules permitting, it sounds like this baby is in the bag. The only question is, what kind of episode should Jackson direct? A fantasy-theme might seem obvious, but you can't discount some straight horror. Or, even better, horror/comedy a la Dead Alive.
We put it to you—what kind of Who episode should Peter Jackson make?
