We've finally got our first look at the big-screen Quicksilver. No, the other one.
Yes, the Marvel Comics mutant Pietro Maximoff is getting two cinematic incarnations in two different universes over the next two years, and before we see Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Marvel Cinematic Universe version in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, we'll get Evan Peters' version of the character in the X-Men universe for Bryan Singer's massive mutant mega-movie Days of Future Past. We've already gotten looks at most of the film's cast in costume, but Peters' Quicksilver look was kept in the dark -- until today.
Check out Quicksilver in the photo below, standing behind Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), young Xavier (James McAvoy) and young Magneto (Michael Fassbender).
So, we've got silver hair, a silver jacket and silver-ish shoes. It's a very ... literal costume, isn't it? I mean, we didn't exactly expect a powder-blue suit with a white lightning bolt on it, but is this an improvement? It might be a bit much, but then again, maybe this is '70s Quicksilver and he's just really into glam rock.
What do you think? Is this first glimpse of the character a good look, or do you hope that jacket goes away?
Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23.
