Paddington Bear is back for a glorious, second live-action/CG adventure, and StudioCanal has released a fun new trailer and poster for Paddington 2.

Paul King, who directed the critically acclaimed first movie (Paddington has a rating of 98% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) based on British author Michael Bond’s beloved stories, is back in the director’s chair, along with returning stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington and Imelda Staunton as the voice of his much-beloved Aunt Lucy.

Along with Whishaw and Staunton, the movie also stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Hugh Grant, and Brendan Gleeson.

Paddington 2 sees the charming, marmalade-loving bear “happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens.” Searching for the perfect gift for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington comes across a special pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s (Broadbent) antique shop and takes on a series of small jobs to buy it. When the book gets snatched, Paddington and the Brown family try to unmask the thief. After all, the poster does say, “It takes a bear to catch a thief.”

Paddington 2 will open in North America on Jan. 12, 2018 (it'll premiere in the U.K. earlier, though — on Nov. 10). Check out the new trailer and poster above.
