Cliff Chiang is working on one of the buzziest comics in Paper Girls, so we chatted him up about the challenges of putting his own spin on the 1980s-drenched story.
Chiang opens up about the way they’re trying to explore the decade through suburbia and through the lens of these young kids while also making it feel authentic — with everything from color choices to the posters hanging on the walls. The artist also talked about his work on Wonder Woman and the experience of telling different types of stories within the context of Wonder Woman’s core framework.
