Syfy has finally revealed the title for the fifth Sharknado film, and it looks like the shark-centric weather event is going global.

The film will be titled Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, and it will premiere August 6 on Syfy. The ploy finds heroes Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Tara Reid), trying to rescue their young son, who is trapped in sharknado and carried all over the world. Because, hey, why not? The action will take place in London, Rio, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam and a few other locales. This is a franchise that has fully embraced its ridiculousness, and it looks to keep on rolling down that path here.

The network has also revealed the cameo list, led by Ton Hawk, Al Roker, Clay Aiken and a whole lot more. Oh, and did we mention Fabio is playing the Pope?
