The two-night extravaganza reunites most of our heroes for the wedding of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton) when the nuptials are interrupted by the arrival of Nazis and a slew of baddies from Earth-X, a world where the Nazis rule after winning World War II. The poster comes sizzling hot on the heels of the extended trailer and reveals that alt-universe versions of Red Tornado and Metallo will join the villainous team.
On the left are The Flash (Gustin), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Atom (Brandon Routh), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) facing off against Earth-X versions of Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh), Green Arrow (Amell), Overgirl (Benoist), Red Tornado, Metallo and Prometheus-X.
It’s unclear whether the Nazi version of Prometheus will be Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) or someone else so it’s going to be interesting to find out who is behind the mask.
Both Metallo (who was played by Frederick Schmidt) and Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg) have faced off against the Girl of Steel in previous episodes of Supergirl and we have here a Metallo that is fully cybernetic. As for Red Tornado, he appears as a villain in that poster while we know he becomes a Freedom Fighter alongside superhero The Ray (Russell Tovey, who will make his debut in the crossover) in The CW Seed’s animated series Freedom Fighters: The Ray. Will we see the genesis of a villain becoming a hero in “Crisis on Earth-X”?
“Crisis on Earth-X” will air over two nights starting on Nov. 27 with Supergirl, followed by Arrow (airing on a special night, so mark your calendars) and concluding the following night (Nov. 28) with regularly scheduled episodes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW.
