Phantasm: Ravager is primed to plunge its way into theaters on Oct. 7, with Mike, Reggie and Jody returning to wage war against Angus Scrimm's Tall Man and his minions in this fifth installment of the crazy cult horror franchise.
Co-written and produced by Don Coscarelli and directed by David Hartman, it showcases one of the last film performances by Scrimm and re-establishes the surreal series as one of the most enduring horror legacies in history. Besides the new Ghost Rider Hell Charger and Mad Max's Interceptor, this 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda 440 stands as one of the coolest hero cars ever to burn rubber on bare asphalt.
Here's the official synopsis:
For 37 years, audiences have followed small town friends Reggie, Mike, and Jody in their quest to stop the evil, dimension-hopping schemes of The Tall Man (Angus Scrimm in his final performance) and his armada of killer Sentinel Spheres. Now, Don Coscarelli’s acclaimed horror/sci-fi Phantasm franchise comes to a close in a truly epic finale, a multi-dimensional battle across multiple timelines, alien planets, and altered realities, where no less than the fate of Earth is on the line.
