One crafty Star Wars fan just built a toy that'll make every young Skywalker in all of us jealous.
We Star Wars enthusiasts are lucky that we live in a world positively saturated with merchandise to feed our needs. You can easily get your hands on the requisite T-shirts and action figures, of course, but there are also things like sleeping bags, cookie cutters, pancake molds, voice changers and any number of other things. One Star Wars thing the world didn't have, though, was a rocking horse in the shape of an AT-AT Walker. Until now, that is.
Blogger Jen Yates, of Cake Wrecks and EPBOT, recently finished crafting her own AT-AT rocker, completely with an adorably accurate paint job, a red visor and safety features to make it safe for smaller riders.
“We added a seat back and extra sturdy T-bar handle for safety, plus some extra-long bumpers on the bottom rails to prevent the rocker from rocking too far," Yates wrote.
The result is a thing of beauty. Check it out:
As for what happens to this beautiful creation next, Yates admits she's not sure, though she's considered donating it to the local chapter of the 501st Legion, perhaps for a charity auction. She's also promised to release a pattern for the rocker, though, so if you've got the tools and the woodworking skills, you might be able to make one of your very own.
