One of the stars of Rogue One has left the door open just a crack for an encore. Spoilers ahead!

If you still haven't seen Rogue One, time to turn back if you don't want the movie spoiled.

Okay, if you're still reading, then you know that all the main characters in Rogue One -- the Rebels charged with stealing the Death Star plans -- perish in the film's climactic scenes.

And while we know that the ending of the movie was reworked quite a bit, we don't know if earlier endings allowed for some of the characters to survive. Plus, there's the fact that the stars were actually signed to multi-picture contracts -- fairly standard, to be sure, but still nevertheless odd considering how the movie ends.

But what about this: Could a member of the cast appear in another Star Wars film that was set before the events of Rogue One? Like, say, the upcoming Han Solo stand-alone movie?

That was the question posed by MTV News to Diego Luna, who plays Rebel agent Cassian Andor in Rogue One, and who was last seen being vaporized by a test blast from the Death Star. When asked whether Cassian could show up in the Han Solo film -- which reportedly takes place ten years before the story in Rogue One -- Luna's answer was ... well, see for yourself:

Luna doesn't exactly rule it out, does he? He kind of gets twitchy, doesn't meet the interviewer's eyes, and goes quiet before finally admitting he "doesn't have an answer for that." Now, he could be playing it up and generating some free publicity for himself ... or he may genuinely have some knowledge up his sleeve.

We probably won't know much more about the Han Solo movie until later this year, so the question will remain unanswered for now. But with Rogue One such a huge blockbuster and the characters a hit with fans, it would not be surprising if Lucasfilm wanted to exercise those contract options for additional movies in some kind of creative way.

Would you like to see Cassian or Jyn Erso or any of the Rogue One characters turn up in another Star Wars adventure?
