Star Wars Day may have come last week, but the main event of the month is still the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. To kick off the week, director Ron Howard took over the official Star Wars Twitter account and answered questions from fans in the form of short videos. Howard was accompanied by Chewbacca himself, but the Wookiee was only there for moral support. Or perhaps Chewie was simply making sure that Howard didn’t ruin any of the surprises coming in the film.

There were many interesting tidbits that emerged, including Howard’s contention that Solo is about the relationship between Han Solo and Chewbacca, even when it isn’t necessarily one on good terms at first. But to kick things off, Howard explained how Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han plays into the man he will become in the original trilogy.

Amusingly, Howard insinuated that he had to watch what he said around Chewbacca when asked which cast member was the hardest character to direct.

According to Howard, he was very impressed by the way that Ehrenreich threw himself into the role of Han Solo and how seriously he took the responsibility.

Howard was equally effusive about Donald Glover's take on the younger Lando.

Regarding Emilia Clarke's Qi'ra, Howard couldn't quite define her in just five words. And he placed a lot of emphasis on how dangerous she is.

Howard also shared an experience that made him feel like he really belonged on the set.

With Chewbacca still by his side, Howard shed some light on the potentially rocky beginning between Han and his eternal co-pilot/partner.

Speaking of Chewie, a certain Wookiee is getting his own musical theme in this movie.
