After two hit seasons and with a third on the way, The Walking Dead just keeps getting bigger. And according to some, it could wind up so big that showing it on the small screen just won't be enough anymore. Could we see a Walking Dead movie someday?
This rumor seems very far from anything official at this point, but Bloody Disgusting is citing "friends working closely with The Walking Dead crew and AMC" who say there's definitely been talk of a feature film sometime in the future. At this point it's possible, even likely, that it's only been brought up in "non-business conversations," but it seems someone's definitely floated the idea.
So what would this movie focus on? Are we talking about a prequel, a bridge between seasons, a whole new adventure with all-new characters? No one knows, but Bloody Disgusting's theory is that the movie wouldn't be made until after the series has ended, amounting to a kind of aftermath story. We're down with that theory, especially since it looks like the show's gonna be around for a long, long time.
What do you think? Should AMC cap off Walking Dead's TV run, however long it may be, with a movie?
