What made the Terminator movies so awesome was Arnold Schwarzenneger and how badass he was (especially in T2). But we could soon have another famous badass muscle man for T5—Pitch Black's Richard B. Riddick himself, actor Vin Diesel.
Fast & Furious and Fast Five director Justin Lin, who could soon be taking on the gig of directing the next Terminator film for Universal, may reunite with his Furious star and friend, actor Vin Diesel, for the upcoming fifth entry into the popular sci-fi franchise.
Though Lin says the only person he's approached for T5 at the moment is Arnold Schwarzenneger himself, the director doesn't rule out Diesel's involvement in the project, readily admitting he's discussed the Terminator mythology with Diesel before:
"We've talked about the mythology [of the Terminator series] ... [pause] he's a great guy and a great actor. I really like working with him so anything I do I usually talk to him about. Sometimes we even talk about going back and doing a little indie movie."
So when Lin was asked whether we should expect to see Diesel on T5—and perhaps take on Arnold's Terminator (yeah, we know Arnold may be getting too old for this, but special effects are getting better and better all the time, so who knows?) or Skynet in the process, Lin's coy reply was:
"You never know."
What do you think? Would you love to see Vin Diesel taking on Arnold in T5?
