While we already knew Captain Marvel’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be in her first solo movie instead of Avengers: Infinity War, we didn’t know if Carol Danvers would join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the good fight against Thanos for the fourth Avengers film.
Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson, who has been tapped to bring Captain Marvel to life on the big screen, has been spotted arriving in Atlanta — where the untitled fourth Avengers film is currently shooting — alongside Captain America actor Chris Evans. The news of Larson’s arrival was first announced via the good folks at Atlanta Filming, with pics of Larson and Evans arriving late last night at the Atlanta airport finally dropping on Just Jared.
That Captain Marvel will appear in Avengers 4 is not hard to believe, since I’m sure everyone had a feeling she would show up in the battle against the Mad Titan (played by Josh Brolin).
Although this is no official confirmation, the fact that Brie Larson arrived with Chris Evans where the Russo Brothers are currently filming the fourth Avengers film is as good a confirmation as we’re gonna get until Marvel makes it official.
If this holds water, it could also mean that Larson will film her very first scenes as Captain Marvel for Avengers 4 (out on May 3, 2019) before the cameras start rolling on the character’s solo outing (which'll take place in the 1990s and feature the Kree-Skrull War and a two-eyed Nick Fury), slated for March 8, 2019.
