We already know Joel Kinnaman will be the new Robocop in the upcoming reboot, but it seems an actor who should be very well-known to sci-fi fans could also be joining the project in a supporting role.
There's a rumor making the rounds that Norton (The Incredible Hulk, Fight Club) could play the role of, well, Norton—"the brilliant mastermind behind bringing RoboCop to life."
Apart from sporadic casting tidbits, we don't know a ton about the new RoboCop, but what we have heard leads us to believe it will be a less campy, more gritty take on the classic '80s half-cyborg-half-cop.
In a previous interview, Kinnaman said director Jose Padilha's take on the canon will be very different from what we've seen before.
"There's a lot of neuroscience now raising the question 'Is all the intelligence in the human body in the brain?', and they're finding out that, no, it's not like that," Kinnaman said. "The body has intelligence itself, and we're much more of an organic creature in that way. It's not a control tower that does everything."
