She's all but unemployable these days, yet Lindsay Lohan is determined to land a role in the new Superman movie. And apparently she may get an audition.
According to Radar Online. the troubled actress will reportedly get a chance to read for a role in director Zack Snyder's Superman reboot in front of the film's producers sometime soon. That would mean she'll be auditioning for Christopher Nolan and his wife/partner Emma Thomas, among others.
Lohan was said to want a crack at playing Lois Lane, but that role has gone to Amy Adams. Now she'll allegedly get to read for a part opposite an unnamed actor who himself is reading for the role of Lex Luthor. Does that mean she could be up for Luthor's moll?
You may notice that we're using the words "apparently," "allegedly" and "reportedly" in this story a lot. That's because the whole idea of Lohan actually getting a role in Superman seems incredibly far-fetched.
With her many legal and personal troubles, including the possibility of jail time for a shoplifting charge, Lohan is a risk for film productions and may not be insurable. We can't imagine that Christopher Nolan, who likes to keep his movies veiled in secrecy, would want the Lohan soap opera near any production that he's involved with. Also, no one has confirmed that Lex Luthor is even in this movie.
Snyder, Nolan and their team have assembled a great cast so far, with Adams, Henry Cavill as Superman and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as the Kents. Do they really want to mix that up with the tabloid circus that Lindsay Lohan's career and life have become?
Of course, anything is possible, but treat this one with a very large red flag. Do you think Lohan deserves a shot at a role in Superman? Or should the filmmakers stay far away?
